Dyslexia Therapy

Small group or 1-1 Targeted multisensory reading instruction is a personalized approach that teaches reading using sight, sound, and movement all at once. Your child might see a letter pattern, say the sounds out loud, and write it while speaking each sound. This hands-on, structured method strengthens reading and spelling skills and is especially helpful for children with dyslexia.

Parent Consultation

Parent consultation for dyslexia intervention is a collaborative meeting to discuss your child’s individual needs, identify key areas of focus, and determine the most effective, evidence-based interventions to support their reading success.

Targeted Reading Intervention

Small group or 1-1 Dyslexia therapy is a structured, evidence-based approach to reading intervention that explicitly teaches phonological awareness, sound–symbol relationships, spelling patterns, fluency, and comprehension. It is systematic, cumulative, and individualized, helping students build strong decoding and encoding skills while strengthening language processing. Take Flight is a comprehensive, Orton-Gillingham–based dyslexia intervention developed by the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Designed for students with dyslexia, it provides intensive, multi-sensory instruction that targets the root causes of reading difficulty and supports long-term reading and spelling success.

Dyslexia Screeners

Dyslexia screeners are short, research-based assessments that help identify early signs of reading difficulties, including challenges with phonological awareness, decoding, spelling, and fluency. I administer these screeners one-on-one in a supportive, low-pressure setting and carefully analyze the results to pinpoint your child’s specific strengths and areas of need. From there, I provide a clear explanation of the findings and recommend targeted, evidence-based next steps to best support your child’s reading development.
